The Filipino/American Coalition for Environmental Solidarity (FACES) presents:

"Cultivating Hope"

Join FACES for our 5th National Conference, where participants will:

  • learn about FACES history, the current Chevron accountability campaign, and summer solidarity trip

  • engage in dialogue to strengthen our work

  • hear from Philippine grassroots partners and guest speakers

  • deepen awareness of pressing environmental justice issues affecting US and Philippine communities

  • build community with old and new faces

  • gain skills and tools in capacity building workshops led by Francis Calpotura of TIGRA, spoken word poet and educator Aimee Suzara, and more!

 

Conference Quick Facts

Feb. 6, Day 1: 6:00-9:00 pm

Registration, organizational history, discussion, and dinner


Feb. 7, Day 2: 8:30-5:30pm

Caucusing, capacity building workshops, campaign updates, board elections, and transnational environmental justice presentation

Concurrent event, "Pandacan: A Legacy of Pride and Pollution" at the Bayanihan Community Center, 7:00-9:00 pm, http://www.pandacan.eventbrite.com


Feb. 8, Day 3: 8:30-11:00am

Reserve a ticket (link above, "Ticket Type").  You will be prompted to give your name, the number of people you are reserving a "ticket" for, and an email to confirm your spot.

Registration Fees: payments to be made on-site. 

Sliding scale $10-25 for Day 1 or Day 3, $20-30 for Day 2, 3-day package $50-$100 ($50 or above includes FACES membership). 

Conference is open to the general public.  Meals and refreshments included with registration fees.

 

Getting There:

CEH is accesible by BART (near 19th St. BART) and other public transit.  Please make time for street parking.
